Glacier pits become tourist attractions
(Zhejiang Online http://www.zjol.com.cn3-7)

A famous geologist claims to have found a land feature formed during the Ice Age in a beautiful valley in Xincang, Zhejiang Province, reports Today Morning Post.

A mass of pits along a 2.5 kilometre creek is believed to have been carved by a melting glacier 2 or 3 million years ago, according to Professor Han Tonglin.

Some geologists argue that the pits were simply caused by the creek itself.

While the truth is still to be determined, the local travel bureau has included it in tourist guides.
